Turgeon Continues to Impress

First year coach Mark Turgeon is living up to expectations in his new College Station roundball gig. In contrast to greasy pimpwhore Billy Clyde Tuggle’s ugly departure at the end of last season (or somewhat before the end of it according to which reports you read), Coach Turgeon has become a campus favorite and may have reached legend status this past week by shelling out $10,000 of his own money to buy out the Student Section at Reed Arena for the Aggie’s appearances at the preseason NIT. Coach Turgeon:

“Our players should play in front of their classmates, and that’s important to me,” Turgeon said. “I want our student section to be full every night regardless of who we’re playing. And that’s just my way of letting them know how important they are to us.”

Students wanting to attend the games would have had to pay the general admission price of $20 per game.

“I just don’t think students should ever pay for a sporting event,” Turgeon said. “They pay enough to go to school.”

Wow! That’s all. Just wow.

It’s something to get us through the long off season. The one that started in the first quarter of the Miami game.

You called it though. Coach Turgeon is a class act.
